I'm like you, I've had an SES 2 months after I bought the thing, which was 6 years ago.

It's not the fact that we want you to use an MT ecu, but more-so how.

I know you said some other dude did, but I'd like to see how he made it work without going into limp mode and by-passing the TCM inputs from the ECU.

Well poopsicles. I even posted a boatload in that thread. I tell you, old age is setting in. damn, interesting.

That would verify my theory that the TCM and ECU are completely separate ... IIRC, Jime has also confirmed this.

Congrats on finally deciding to do the swap hustle. It took me 3 autos in my 4th gen and 1 in my i30 to finally say EF it.

Are you talking about the neutral/safety switch? The master cylinder is what converts the mechanical pressure of your foot to the hydraulic pressure needed to engage the piston of the s/c which then moves the fork, which disengages the pressure plate.

BTW... don't overlook the flywheel bolts. They're recessed. I bought new from DaveB when I removed mine. You can't get away with hex head screws because of clearance, unless you want to do some machining and balancing.

They usually aren't available local so it's not something you want to overlook. As far as 'nexpensive'? Those things are as soft as gold and they cost as much, too. The cluch line is half the price of 8 flywheel bolts.

Add ES bushings for the shifter linkage. For 20 bucks, a nice improvement over stock.
Red or black, your choice.

i wont be tightening a screw lol... well everybody should expect around the $2500 range i never really thought about how much total but mines should be around the $1700-$2100 range depending on certain parts

Get the black ones. They contain graphite which can help them self-lubricate.
