really need help no power/ exhaust broken!

hey guys my 3rd part of the exhaust broke the one that leads to under the bumper. So now my exhaust smells and is really anoying. (its a 5 speed 00) i noticed when i ride the gears it get really loud and sounds as if its going perfectly up to redline, then soon as i hit 3.5 thousand rpms it feels like i lost 50hp instantly and then it takes so long to get it to 6k. do yoiu think the back flow from my broken 3rd piece connection to the exhaust is causing this?? if i keep the gas pedal really steady i wont feel it but when i sink my foot to thew gas its very noticible. thanks!!

the correct name for the part that broke is the cat back. yes there is a very high chance that the loss in power is because of the loss in back pressure.
The smell should not have changed at all. The cats (if you have them) should remove the odors

It's not backpressure that he lost that's affecting his performance.... it's exhaust gas velocity that's directly affecting his scavenging ability......that makes the engine perform less than stellar

Send a message via Skype™ to bryan163
sometimes the broken pipes can rest against each other in such a way that inhibits flow. that could explain why it seems choked off at higher rpms.

pictures please! you can fix your problem 2 or 3 different ways:

1.Oem replacement (Bosal brand @ NAPA)
2. Aftermarket market....Cattman performance, Megan Racing, Greddy
3.Exhaust shop (custom)
