Need Help in Brake Part Identification
Hey Guys! I recently had to replace a seized rear caliper on my wifes 01 maxima. Along with the piston being seized, one of the guide pins was also seized in the bracket so I got a new one. I installed everything, put the new guide pins in and tightened everything up. Now there is this loud rattle from the rear when I hit bumps. I noticed the rattle would stop when I hit the same bumps and pressed the brake pedal. So I think discovered that the caliper has some wiggle. Everything is tight, but I can rotate it slightly. Its almost like the guide pins are snug enough or something. There was also this part which I couldn't figure out what the heck it was for or where it went. I bought the bracket at autozone and the caliper at pepboys. Here is a pic of the part:

Thanks in advance!

That's a spring clip which are usually used to keep the pads from rattling.
I lost one when doing a rear brake job on another car which caused a rattle over bumps but disappeared while braking.

I thought of that, but how and where do you install it? It will help, but the caliper (although all brackets are tight) is still kind of loose with the guide pins which is the source of my rattle.
