Painted my center console
i did this a couple of weeks ago but been lazy about posting it up and it still needs another coat but as i said. im lazy lol. 
here are some pics of how it looked before with an ugly aluminum aftermarket trim. this is not a real write up but the pics say it all if you want to do it.
i used satin black krylon fusion paint. this stuff works magic im even thinking about painting my grill with it. well i bassically pulled of the trim with pliers, used goo gone to soften the glue and factory paint job (the factory paint turns into mush after all those years)
. then used an sos brillo pad and some fine sand paper to smooth it all and painted it.
edit: exactly what i didnt want to happen happened scattered pics. keep scrolling down for the rest theres a bunch more.

i could paint my woodgrain in a SECOND but id rather trade it for the SE trim...any takers LOL ...sorry for threadjacking but you got no pics to prove your point so i might as well make some use of this thread HAHA

sorry guys major malfunction with the pic sizes i cant resize these suckers, i would wait to post after i resize but im afraid one of you guys will murder me in my sleep. lol

What did you use to fix then vent? I sanded my vent but after I painted it there were grooves in it. Even though the plastic was smooth before painting the paint or something ate away the plastic. Can you fix this with bondo or is there something better for plastic?

I used the gloss black version of the same Krylon paint to paint my OEM bumper's grill last summer. The paint goes on well and looks good; just make sure you clear over it if you use it to paint your grill because it WILL chip like crazy.
