Not such a bad thing happened there. Well, except Injen's cost so much and should not break like that but anyhow...

... with the SRI, you'll feel better response and like it much more than the full Injen anyhow...

Never seen this happen before. I'm curious if injen would stand behind their product in a case like this. It is surely worth a try.

Otherwise I would pm Knight_yyz, and see if still has one of his short-ram midpipes for sale. Match that with your current filter, and you have your shortram.

That hole will help keep your car from hydrolocking the next time you drive your little straw through a deep puddle.

In all seriousness: Go with a custom setup. Personally, I used the MAF adapter from my intake, and a piece of the 6" cheap-o intake from Autozone to make a SRI.

As far as the breather tube, I just attached a filter to the valve cover.

I picked up some 3" PVC pipe about a week ago. I'm going to cut it to fit, paint the outside black and mount my MAF directly in the pipe so that the airflow isn't hindered by bumps from where one pipe is connected to another.

WOW, I was thinking of picking up an Injen intake...Hmm I'm thinking twice now.

Seriously you should send Injen this pic and ask them...WTF!
for the price you paid this is unacceptable.

it DOES have about 80K miles on it, but honestly, from my experience, it's not worth the price tag. just stick with a SRI, ive already noticed a snappier throttle from the 1/2 injen setup i'm running temporarily.

I have the GAB mod and love it, but seeing as how you already have the airbox out, I'd go with the Berk intake w/ AEM filter. Looks like the best option for the money... That's what I'd do if I wasn't selling my house (not literally) to buy a full Cattman exhaust system...

knight_yyz has custom made sri's that are basically berk replicas, im probly gonna scoop one up off of him. and based on the majority of your opinions on k&n, i think i decided what filter i'll be using. too bad tho, i really like the look of the blue one under my hood...

cut off the brace. it is not needed. i ran for over 50k without one. next jb welb to fix it. next twist it so it doesn't sit behind your rad sucking in hot are but instead behind you foglight getting cool air. also when you twist it the jb weld fix will not be able to be seen.

seriously.

i already tossed the pipe. the bracket is welded just fine. the tube itself has a nice big hole in it. ive heard sri's are better anyway, so im just chalking this up as a loss.

I wish! I don't have too much road salt here, but it snows quite a bit in the winter, so the bottom of my car is definitely not "pristine"
