wiring question...need help please

I am trying to wire an accessory LED light to be able to come on and off when I arm/disarm the alarm(factory) through the remote.....

I didn't want to go the route of the light coming on when the ignition was off and turning off when the ignition was on...

I thought of one way that should work...but wanted to get your opinion first...I think that if I can somehow wire the positive to the blinking red OEM LED in the dash (next to the digital clock in the 5.5 gens) that this should accomplish what I want to do...but not sure...want to get some opinions before i mess with the dash stuff ..

Has anyone tried this or knows of a different way to get this done

Thanks in advance for any input guys.

well its a lot like trying to wire leds in your exterior door handles. really the only thing i can think of that corresponds with the remote is the dome light, which as you know goes on and off as you lock and unlock your car. your best bet would to tap those lines. try this thread it might answer some of your questions

Hey Dennis. Thanks for the reply. Looked under the dash and I have no equivelant fuse as you stated. What is the name of the fuse on the label corresponding to fuse #12?
