My car sounds like a meat grinder! Whats happening?
I have a bad starter (definitely not the cause of the problem) and a bad radiator fan motor (?). Throughout the winter, the radiator fan would continue to spin (or whatever) a few seconds after the car was turned off. Now it does it for 5 seconds, and it does it the whole time the car is on. It sounds terrible.
People I know have asked me if my car was breaking down or if it was okay.
I just recently hit 170,000 miles and this is the second problem I've had with it (mechanically) other than spark plugs.
Anyone have any ideas or have any validity towards my thoughts?
I'll post videos soon.

I had a bad radiator fan and when it turned on the whole car shook and it was a horrible grinding sound.
$80 later, replaced the whole assembly (from ebay) and it is super quiet now. Lost of posts on this.

Had my motor fans go bad on two of my maxs. First one took to dealer, charged me 400 bucks. Second car, i wen to ebay payed 80 dollars and did the 10 minute job myself. As previously mentioned, unplug your radiator fan motors.

Will unplugging these for a while cause any damage to my car? So can I leave them unplugged, or just do it temporarily to make sure it's that? I'll have to wait until it happens again.

It happens after a while in cold weather, but if it's warm out, it happens when you have the AC on.
