INjen RD intake Gains?

Does anyone know the actual gains, if any by the INJen RD intake?

There are no gains the intake is total **** it only looks good and sounds good nothing more. I have one and feel pretty ripped off because it sucks. Go with a custom short ram if you want any gain.

With the One I had I gained 8 whp on the dyno over an K&N panel filtered Oem setup, but had a hard time breathing at top end @ the track. It had a flat spot at the 2nd to 3rd gear change that lost time as well as mph at the finish line 14.6/1/4/mi....Since then I've been running a Hybrid SRI with no regrets, nor flat spots just constant pulling and power production!

The sound you get from the Injen is definitely deceiving. It is horrible in the summer, especially in traffic.

Best/cheapest intake option is definitely a custom SRI or CAI. Get a velocity stack (BPI or amazon brand), AEM dry flow filter, berk midpipe, some couplers/clamps and put it all together.

This is what I use, pretty happy with it overall. Just includes a velocity stack, AEM dry flow filter, a few couplers, home brew brackets, and a piece of 3" pipe.

Have a Injen CAI yeah it looks great and to me the performance is there even on my heavy 20,s, so I truely dont see why one guy said no gains probably had other stuff done then went with this cause they say 1st should be Intake then exhaust, etc, etc.
But thats just me I love mind.

You got to be a idiot if you didn't feel no difference, got the same Injen CAI I felt the difference right off the back with heavy 20 inch rims and if I had those stock one's on your ride even better so stop bull****in' unless you got other **** to fix?

The Injen will provide okay low-end gains, but take your car to the track sometime, and run it against a Max with a Berk or another kind of SRI. See what happens.

Relax dude.
any intake will give you gains over a stock system but an SRI intake like a berk intake, will provide better gains over the Injen. Trust me i had the Injen as well and i felt tha gains as well but not as good as the Berk. Injen is not worth the 280 bucks. Just a rip off for what it does when the berk can produce more for a bit $ less.

Everybody dont take it to the a$$ but I'm on what the guy said and that was no gains at all me I'm happpy with my CAI thats cool with your Berk Intake's but I'm not going to stop there still need Exhaust, Pulleys, Spacers, Headers, Etc. so the car can just keep pulling..

oh, im sure the claimed 8hp gain will help your max "run laps" around any Max with an Injen.......

This all seems so silly of a topic I see some guys getting really upset.....? whats the deal bub? its an intake why not argue over something that actually give a significant gain? just my .02 the las comment was not directed at you SLC.

Wait. Wat?

I don't see where you're going with this. I hate the Injen. I think it's the biggest waste of money ever.

Talk all you want. You're just angry you wasted $350 on an Injen that doesn't do diddly because the intake length is just too long. There have been dyno runs done that prove the Injen does not make that much WHP on our cars. Drilling holes in your airbox will net you more gains.

Our stock air boxes really aren't that restrictive. Injen just does an excellent job of marketing and people buy into it. When they say proven 7-10HP gain, they fail to mention that they mean at the crank. Not the wheels...

7-10WHP is more along the lines of the gain you'd see on our cars by putting headers on. You'd have been better off spending that $350 on that.

Man. So much hate over an intake. I have the injen shrug does what it's supposed to.sucks air. Regardless of the cost your not gonna see huge gains just a small increase in efficiency. Supports any. Other mods u do in the future. If this is ur only mod it's not gonna get u down the track any faster.sheesh.

people buy the injen for all the hype and to have something shiny under the hood...if people would just admit that...instead they ignore the fact that the filter sits between the engine and radiator and pulls warm air...and act like its a huge performance gain...NO intake delivers a huge performace gain...they increase sound...people need to just admit that...i had a berk on my 02 and never tried to claim any performance gains...i just enjoyed the sound

i feel thats why they buy any of them, but your right. Like i said. i think in the long run with eeverytning else it helps (Cattman Gen III's, UDP, Cattman Catback, ETC) i think that it will offer a small peak on top of those items, but just on its own..its just something to look at....shrug. if im looking for that to be WHATS going to drag me past a 350 im in trouble.

agreed that it can ADD to some (minimal) gains with other mods...I'm sure it did something on my car with IM spacers, straight pipe, and Frankencar b-pipe...I dont know what the gains were, because i didnt really care
