P1147 and P1448

These are the errors my car is giving me...

P1447

Heated Oxygen Sensor - Bank 1 Sensor 2 (H02S12)
Maximum voltage not met

Probable Cause

1. Open or Short Circuit Condition
2. Failed H02S12 (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
3. Failed Injector or Pressure Regulator

2002 5.5 Gen

P1448

EvaP canister VENT CONTROL VALUE
PROBABLE CAUSE
1. FAILED CANISTER VENT SOLENOID
FAILED EVP PRESSURE SENSOR

Just spent 300 bucks when the car broke down and was told it was the battery and alternator and had that changed, car starts now but it definitely has a little backfire problem.

1. How much is the parts I need to fix the car?
2. What's the learning curve to do this stuff myself?

Problem 1 -

You probably need a downstream 02. You should give Dave B. a call (1-888-254-6060). He works at Southpoint Nissan in Austin TX and gives us Org members discounts for OE parts. The O2 should be less than $100. The install is rather simple. Just unscrew the o2 out of the exhaust and screw the new one. Sometimes these things don't come out easily, so you may want to purchase a small torchand make sure you also purchase some anti-seize for the new 02.

Problem 2 -

I believe the vent control valve is built in to the vapor canister. These things can be expensive. I suggest you take the car in and get it diagnosed before spending that kind of money.

Hope this helps

Not sure how accurate your internal clock is.
I would take it to a shop at this point. Have them diagnose the problem and post the results here.
