Condolences, my downstate neighbor. We usually get all that snow, but for some reason, we've been missed. No complaints from me.

I remember living in Buffalo and waking up to this stuff on a near-daily basis until Lake Erie froze over in late January..

Nothing like trying to snow-blow out two and a half feet of fresh snow. Only to have a snowplow come down the street and blow it all back in your driveway.

Still snowing in Upper East TN. No further expected accumilation though. I expect lots of ice over the course of the next several days.

Here are some pics of my snow and son's artistry.

Not a lot, but enough to identify the idiots on the road. Storm rolled in quick, within 30 minutes the roads were covered and poeple had a hard time getting around. It took me over 2hrs to get home, which should have taken 20 minutes. All because people either didn't know how to engage 4wD or ran bald tires...or my favorite, the MANY idiots who would stop on hills sitting on the bumpers of the person in front of them. Then there were those who would swerve in front of you if you did leave any space in front of you. Had my best tires on the 03 Maxima and had NO problems, other than the idiots, but I think I already covered that.

lol no snow here in teh westcoast but i do have a half lab half pitbull that loves the snow... it snowed last week and I gotta say it was so fun. I had no problems with traction with my car never slipped except this one time i braked and was downhill but stopped withing a few seconds. I went to the mall parking lot and there were idiots on 4x4 dodge rams that drove like sh*t I swear if I didn't get out of there my car would have been totalled otherwise pulling on the e-brake tons of fun

Gawd bless you for keeping the storm to your local, I see your dog has found the remote and you have to love our heat side mirrors for just such occasions of a lost car due to heavy snow.

Wow! You guys did get a lot of snow! Living in Colorado, people assume we get this kind of stuff at least every year. This type of storm is a once in a decade occurrence. If we do get a storm like this I can usually wash my car in the driveway (south facing) the week after as we get a ton of sun in the winter.

Lol, actually I did wash my Max today in the driveway. It was 48F but felt fine in the sun. The last two weeks though have been terrible weather. We got 4 inches of snow but the highs of 8 were brutal. Cheer up guys. That snow will be gone soon enough and you'll be out waxing those Max's in the driveways.

I washed my car in teen temperatures recently. Man that sucked. Had to use a hot air gun to keep the water from freezing.

So they don't freeze on the windshield with all the snow & ice build-up. It's not a super common thing, but not unheard of either. It sucks having to scrape your wipers free while scraping your windshield.

Pretty much it just sucks having to "scrape" anything.

So they don't freeze to the windshield and get torn as they are freed.

If you dont lift them during the storm, after you unstick them from the windshield, there's always ice and crap stuck to them so they leave streaks all over the windshield. If you leave them up, they work perfectly after as long as you clean and scrape your windshield.
