Help! Strange Heated Seat Problem!

Ok, on my drivers seat, the switch works on the 'high' setting, but not on the 'low' setting. The little light in it works on both settings. (I put a blue LED in it a year ago) It is a newer switch (only a year old) and the heated seat used to work on both settings.
What could the problem be?

Stupid question, but did you try the old switch again? Just to see if maybe the switch has an open in the one setting? It can't hurt to try...otherwise it sounds like a wiring issue maybe.

ahh, I don't have the old switch... otherwise I'd try. But..... I know that the seat used to work with the new switch. It's just recently that it quit.

take it out and use a DMM to check

hmm... don't have a DMM.. I just have a 12/6 V voltage tester.... maybe that'd work, i dunno.

a voltage checker would work...you just need to see if the circuits have power at the proper switch position. It would probably be easier to check the switch if you had a DMM or an ohmmeter, to component test the switch itself though. If you had access to a wiring diagram or FSM check and see which pins or wires should have power when the switch is in the high position and low position.

K, I used my voltage tester and found out that everything is definitely working fine in the switch. Now I'm thinking that there may be a problem with the wiring under the seat?? I might pull the seat out tomorrow and check it... I just don't know where to look yet.
