Some new paint work, what do you think?

So I had the hood and front bumper painted again, the rock chips were bothering me. I left the carbon showing in just the center of the hood (inside the scoop). I also had a clear bra put on and Mike at Exclusive Films even wrapped inside the scoop. He is a close friend, so I got a great deal.

$400 for the paint work (all PPG paint)
$500 for the clear bra, its the best you can buy, there is no orange peal in it.

Let me know what you think.

Now: (sorry the pictures are a little blury resizeing them took its toll)

That hood isn't anything I would do to my car, but you made a good, creative decision with the 2-tone. I like that black-primer look down the middle. Ditching the yellow-lens fogs was a good choice, too, IMO.

Why didnt you sell the cf hood and then purchase a regular black hood? Or even trade for one in good condition? The paint looks fine, I just feel like it was a waste of a cf hood.

The gell coat gave out on the hood and turned a milky white. The only way to save it was by painting it. It happens to all CF parts that are exposed to the weather, a hood, body kit, etc.. any part. another thing most poeple dont relize is that carbon fiber sun tans, it takes a bit but it will turn from a gray to a gold color. look at my early pics and then the later ones, You will see a difference. Its funny ever sence I have painted it I get more poeple stopping me asking q's. It gives the front more of a finished look.

thanks for the compliment's, the yellow fogs had to go. the black primer you think is down the center is actually the carbon fiber. I left the center carbon and did the outside black.

Here is a pic moving I got tonight that I liked

and another I just like

+1

I opened up my stock 2000 headlights and blacked them out. Mine are a way clearer than yours though. It makes a huge difference when they look brand new. Invest in some headlight cleaner.

paintwork looks good...clearbra is a good idea...ditching the yellow foglight covers also looks good..I would have kept the hood with all the cf showing but thats just my personal opinion

Can't really compare the old paint job vs the new one by looking at the first two pictures. But with the new paint job, the car looks like brand new.
