you might be limited to a certain wattage, 4 X the wattage of the OEM incandescent bulbs. with over 100 leds you may be pulling more than the circuit is designed for. The wattage is actually 12 watts 4 x 3 watts. how many watts are the led's?

you know, I'm not exactly sure what the wattage is... but, if they turn out to be too dim, I'll just wire up that LED dimmer switch I already ordered and return it to the previous ground configuration...

how did you calculate the resistors if you don't know the wattage?

I have had this idea planned myself for a while now but my spare piece of the speedo got tossed in the box that was going to the dump. So i've been looking for a cheap cluster or part of a cluster to make mine look even better. Tried lots of different things with the old cluster while it was in my basement, but I was never satisfied.

-yeah... it's really hard to get an effect you really like. I tried a whole bunch of things too... Glad I finally did this one! And yeah, since I've spiced into the dimmer, it's been way better. I did 3 hours of night driving tonight, and it's way better to have the dimmer. hehe
