It's time for this episode of..."What's busted?"

I was doing an ATF change yesterday and noticed my steering rack has oil residue on it. What I wanna know is what is around there that would cause this residue to show up?

for what its worth, i have also have some strange rubbing/knocking/clunking sounds coming from what sounds like the center of the car. maybe attributed to this...

During straight-away driving or turning?

Low or high speed?

Does it do it backing up as well?

C'mon man the more info. the better help you get.

That's what its looking like. Thats why I wanted a further back pic, see the frame... looks like its coming from above, huh?

ok, well, i already took care of that a few months ago, so i guess i'm good.

also, i replaced my outer tie rods ends today with the meatier moog pieces and it stopped my front end noises. Thanks for the help guys!
