sunroof issue

so my sunroof for some reason will only work if u press the vent button. It will not slide back at all doesnt even make any sound to slide back. I figured the switch had just worn out but of course its never that easy. i replaced the switch anyone got any ideas on wat i should be looking at now? I dont think its the motor cuz it still works perfect when you use the vent button

Press the tilt close button and hold it for 10-15 seconds. That usually does the trick.

I wish it were that easy for me...

New guy here. Just picked up a 2001 SE (actually my fiance's car but you can bet I had a lot to do with the final decision -heh heh).

Tried everything, disconnecting the batter (from both terminals), waiting 15 minutes, making sure the system was completely drained, reconnecting the battery, holding the tilt button, etc. You name it, I pretty much tried it multiple times (at least everything mentioned here).

Still opens about 3" and stops. I press the button and it opens another 3" and stops. Although I do notice the first time after reconnecting the battery it opens about 5" but after that, it's back the the 3" at a time.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks!
