Starting Problem *i did a search and read up

Hi Friends,

I used the search tool and did some research but am STUMPED???

03 Max, 3.5., 130k

Got a 6mth old battery and 3 yr old starter, and replaced cam sensor last year.

The Car is dead. Won't turn over, no click, no sound.

I do get lights, horn, and dome lights.

No dash lights and NO Radio.

ALSO WEIRD is when i turn the ignition to all the way ON, the shifter doesn't move. I push down on the release button, and can then move the shifter to neutral and back.

A friend and i tried to jump it and got nothing.

My first thought is the starter (its about 3 yrs old now), but the Radio and dash lights don't even come on???

I'VE ALSO noticed lately that the Analog clock is always running fast (like 1 hr fast every couple of days).

Wa Da???

What's the scoop...anyone have an idea?

Thanks for any constructive input you can offer...

~M

Neutral safety switch.

Will the car start while in neutral?

SOLVED

I checked under the hood AGAIN, and noticed there is specifically a Ignition Fuse in the Right Panel box near the battery. I swapped it out with another, and BINGO the car starts.

That was weird. The dayum Fuse controlled even the dash lights and the stock car alarm.

Anyway,...thanks for the help!
