HID upgrade better than expect in stock housing

HID upgrade better than expect in stock housing
Just want to let those that were thinking about doing a HID upgrade in the stock housing know that I recently did it and am very please with the results.
I had been reluctant in the past on doing this because of reading that it never comes out well because of light scatter and change in the beam pattern.
I posted these pics in the group buy section but figured others may be interested in seeing the results:
Here are some pics.
Stock Halogen (before upgrade)......
Stock Halogen road view.....
HID on the left and Stock Halogen on right.....
After Hid install in stock housing.......
Road view after HID install......
As you can see, the beam pattern is very similar before and after, with no light scatter! Got them here:

While the beam pattern and dispersal aren't bad at all, the big issue with this upgrade would be inherent glare that the headlight gives off by its design that would be intensified by the large jump in lumens that HID gives you. Glare is something that even OEM HID reflectors give off, so as long as they don't blind the oncoming traffic, they're OK

Have been driving with them this week and no flashing high beams from other drivers. As you can see on the garage view, not much light seems to scatter up the garage door. So I think the degree of glare may be OK.
What I'll do tonight, just for fun, is to take a pic of the lights next to our Murano with stock HIDs to see if the degree of glare is much different.
Will post the pics later........

Here are the pics.
I30 on the right (HID kit) and Murano left (OEM HIDs). Glare seems about the same. The HID kit is just more white.
Light pattern on the garage looks similar. (I30 on the left and Murano right)

I was thinking of doing that but right now I'm satisfied with putting the HID kit in the stock housing.
Also, I looked at a picture of OEM HIDs for the 2000 I30 and it looks like the OEM HIDs were not projectors but in a standard looking housing. The housing looked the same as my halogen! Can anyone confirm that??
