nwp spacer reapplication
#2
Razor Blade is the best. Just hold it steady and dont cut into the spacer any. If it getting dull get a fresh blade, using a dull blade will cause you to apply more force and possibly nicking injuring the spacer.

I had the same problem. I tried goo gone and rubbing alcohol with no luck.
I ended up putting one of those little cotton ball things on my dremel and basically buffing all the used RTV off.

I e-mailed Aaron at NWP and he said " I would recommend using a gasket scraper
that will not scratch the Spacers deeply. I like using a plastic gasket
scraper to get most of the old RTV off. Then, you can use acetone or
brake cleaner to help soften the rest and use a rag. But in most cases, I
am able to remove all the old RTV without using any chemicals. The
plastic gasket scraper gets it all. Then I wipe it with a dry rag and
reapply RTV.
I like scraping the RTV when it's fully dry without using any solvents. A
metal gasket scraper will work just fine. Just make sure you don't cut
into the Spacers or gouge or scratch it badly."
