Stillen Rear Lip Mudguards off ?

I got my stillen front and rear lips not long ago and putting the car in the paint shop next weekend and I might be putting the lips on myself and from what I can notice I will need to remove the rear mudguards I believe. Is this accurate or did I just dry fit the lip on the rear incorrect? And while on the subject I was wondering if anyone had good suggestions on where to apply the double backed 3m tape cause I notice in some areas you may be able to see it if not placed properly. This is a geniune stillen kit and the fitment appears to be good except for a little misalignment with the front grill insets but nothing major so if someone is looking to get a lip kit, step up the extra bucks and go stillen.. I could just slap the the thing on and roll around unpainted cause it fits great but gotta color match it. So do I gotta lose the rear mudguards?

Thanks for the quick feedback guys... I guess I just didn't want to believe that I'll have to part with the mudguards, guess that means the side of my car is ready for tire dressing spats all down the side. Oh well... People usually buy these on the classifieds? Got a OEM spoiler too I guess I can throw on there...Anyways thanks for the feedback I'll post pics when this project gets done...Painting the front bumper, front grill, front stillen lip, rear bumper, rear trunk lid and rear stillen lip....All Black baby...

I was able to modify my rear mudguards to make them fit with rear lip. It required a great deal of time cutting and bending. I was happy with the results and willl post pics later this week.

1. Visit stillen.com .
2. Search for your vehicle
3. Click to thru exterior mods
(pricing is ok.~$600+ for full body kit)

With a little patience, you might be able to find a kit here on the org.

Here are the pics of my rear mudguards with Stillen rear lip. Like I said, it took a lot of cutting & modding. Pretty much a PITFA!! But, I didn't want to take them off, so I gave it a try and was happy with the results. So OP, to answer your question, it IS possible to install a rear Stillen lip and still keep your mudguards.

No. I kept the O.E.M. SE sides. No need to do the fronts with only the Classic Lip.

I would assume it looks good, I thought of doing that myself but wanted to keep the "further" away look like it worked. I'm sure rod77 that it looks good as well with the stillen kit on. Nice work anyway...lets see the pics. It sounds like the look would be off or possibly the rear would be lower if you still have OEM sides? IDK I could be wrong, gets some pics, nice work

The way you're thinkin means they shouldn't have made flaps for the front with OEM sides skirts

Strictly cosmetics.
And, of course, the fact that it can be done.
