They feel the same, but they do make a bit more noise over very broken pavement at parking lot type speeds.

On my last set of tires I had a massive bubble in the sidewall of one of them that I didnt even know about. I'm assuming from one of the pot holes in boston.

This suspension does not like 4" deep potholes with sharp corners, it feels like you just hit a curb.. Not good.. Whatever I do next, the amount of suspension travel will be #1 priority. These cars really dont have enough of it even before you drop them after you drop them you bottom out way too easily. GOod news my illuminas have been bottomed out more times than I can imagine and they still keep coming back for more.

I also think the progressive springs are a waste of time. I would have gone linear/static rate springs in a heart beat if I could do it again. I have ridden in MANY cars now with much stiffer springs/shocks that ride a lot better because they have the travel

I'm located in Calgary Alberta Canada.. yup the great white north.

I'm just on stock SE springs.

I took out the strut last nite and had to put back in my worn OE strut.

The rebound damping on the Tokico is entirely gone. Car was undrivable as after i hit a bump, the wheels just keep vibrating. There is something broken inside the strut itself, because i can hear something loose is rolling inside the strut as i turn it upside down.

5 all around on H&R's. . . about 25k no problems what so ever... started with 3F 4R and tinkered and what a difference over stock! But on 5F 5R come on, thats not even a maxima anymore!...Love it! And while my boy has the m45s infiniti and it pisses on my maxima speed wise, the handling is very very similar if not better being i paid about 700 to handle like a 50k car hahaha . . . i can't ever go back after feeling the 5F 5R and i dont care if they blow, i will replace them.....

Sent mine back into Tokico for warranty.

Warranty was approved and strut sent back... hopefully this one would last longer

I seen a lot of these Tokico's up for sale on used car sites. Either the ride quality garbage or they just don't last long at all. Even when I go to performance shops i'd see them up for sale used.

Doesn't mean we should bump ancient threads. In any case, I’ll chime in on the subject at hand. I’ve got about 100k on mine and about 9 years and there still fine. Depending on my audience (passengers) I cycle between 5f/4r, and 1/1. Roads in my area are slightly terrible, so the tighter setting is not so fun, but I do hit some S curves daily that I do notice the softer settings aren’t as fun, and sometimes a little scary.

I've always had Progress Springs in the rear, but at one point had S-Techs in front. But now, back on Progress in front. Didn't seem to phase the Tokicos.

Typically in the winter I’m on 235 45 17’s, but now 245 40 18’s all year round.
