Instrument Cluster Removal

Alright so I tried searching and searching on how to remove the instrument cluster from a 2002 Nissan Maxima but was only able to find 4th gen removal and partial 6th gen but no 5th gen. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how this can be done or where I can find my answer? Thanks.

P.S. Since we're on the topic is it possible to switch the lights behind the cluster or are they LED not bulbs?

BT-30 explains how to remove it, BT-32 shows how it's all put together.

2 screws to take off on the top part of the cluster trim, unplug dimmer switch, then you see the cluster, then take off the 3 screws holding it.

might be easy if you take the steering coloum's cover off then take the 2 screws on the top pull that trim out then there will be 3 screws voila the cluster will come right out

The removal of the cluster is very easy!!! Take off the steering column cover off, then the 2 screws on the trip and there will be screws holding the cluster. After removing the screws it should come out with ease.

#24 which i believe its a T6.5, very hard to find. I think Autolumination are the only people that carry it, that's what i have in my cluster, fits perfect. I think a #74 is too small.

We are on the same page jocco, except that my maxima is a 03 but still is the 5th generation. We are on the same situation, let me help you out a little bit. First of all, these can be replaced with LED's I do have them already, and I bought them online from www.superbrightleds.com and you have to order the same ones I just order. 74-CWHP3 Mini Wedge Base 2 volts. You need 4 Cool White Hight power Led. ( That was description of the product you need ) Now I am working on my research as well as you. Email me if anything buddy. silver_dreamer08@hotmail.com.

Good luck.
