sprint booster

Does anyone know if they ever developed one for the maxima? I know there was a guy who was offering them a few months ago and most of you all flammed him said it was a waste of money, well it is indeed not and makes a big difference. I have one on my current car and its night and day. Anyone have one on there max? I was telling my buddy with a 02 about them.

Timing advance usually results in quicker throttle response as well....

I've never heard of this product for Maximas.

I started that thread and deleted it because a certain member was being really annoying. So it doesn't exist anymore. Pm me and I will let you know which one to buy, as there is not one made specifically for the maxima, (they don't have them in europe). But they make one for another nissan that has the same throttle specs. I am using it on my car and have helped a few guys on another maxima forum hook up with one.

Still would like to see a company make a electronic device that boosts Coilpack voltage from 12v to 15v.

what about this...

http://www.racinglab.com/sun-hyper-f...-350z-001.html

they make one for the 350 z that IIRC fits perfectly into 02-03 max ,.. there is a 6th gen guy running that set-up,pretty sure its supposed to increase voltage,..but dont think it would work for you.. sorry dave maybe this one though.. idk.. http://www.racinglab.com/hyper-volta...universal.html ,.. oh and HKS makes one as well that should be plug and play but theres is like 500 beans LOL

If you mean the nismology one that goes to grey99max's link, then its actually a good site with laptop chargers and all sorts of AC to DC converters for a nice prices.

What grey is refering too are the Laptop chargers that take the 12v DC and push out whatever you may need (such as 15v). If I figured it out correctly if you wire it in Parallel to each of the 6 coilpacks, you will be able to bump up the voltage easily, like your kits that you posted.

This really doesn't bump horsepower but give you a better spark and more of a response from the engine itself. Alot 240 guys do this with ease cause people make coilpacks to handle the extra voltage and a system that is basically bolt on for them.

haha i gotta see this one.

You Guys are starting to make my head hurt haha. So would anyone care to shed some light on this for me? So converting the voltage going to our Stock coil packs to 15V will increase throttle response you say... But no real gains? soo.. whats the purpose of this mod then, cause if i really want to increase my throttle response ill jsut clean my Throttle Body haha. Ok that was a dumb joke bt seriously Is this worth the 50$ itll cost me...

after all this time...you still cant provide VALID proof to back up your claims that this does ANYTHING.

my post wasnt "useless"...this product is useless and I was informing people of that. i realize that once again, you are taking it personally because you think everyone should agree with you...no questions asked...with no proof given.

its really more a benefit for the guys who spray, a stronger spark is the biggest advantage from it. You may see a power increase, its worth it if you have done every other bolt on and your looking for a little something else, since its cheaper then headers and some other mods you can do.

I plan to do it after my 11.1:1 motor is in and its running (eliminates a variable when the motor doesn't turn over ). Although if someone wants to be a guineapig and dyno the difference on a basic NA application that would be awesome

As long as one isn't experiencing spark blowout, there's no gain from the voltage increase itself. The benefit occurs when you increase the spark plug gap (which the increased voltage allows). The largest spark plug gap possible without experiencing blowout is ALWAYS preferred.
