i tried and tried

as the title says i tried and tried to program my remote to my car. i tried both methods.
1)lock all doors-insert more than 6 times-aac-press any button.
2)lock all dors-open trunk with the door button-key in 6 times-manually unlock and lock driver door-press any button.

it still didnt work. what should i do? is there anything i can do other than going to the dealer? nearest infiniti dealer is far so you guys think a nissan dealer could help me?(BTW: its a 2k i30)

thanks in advance.

sounds like your remote is toast, I say order one off ebay. There is an fcc id on the back of your remote and on the control module in the car and i think they have to match (might want to check on this). If your remote worked then died you can just look on the remote, but if it never worked i bet it is the wrong code or it's toast.

I am almost 100% sure the i30 and maxima remotes are the same.

Nice quote in the sig by the way... LOL

I'm sure you've tried replacing the battery? If so, I'd agree w/ feldman. More than likely a bad remote.

i baught my car used and it didnt come with a remote so i baught this remote off of ebay. im pretty sure its the right remote and it also says infiniti on the remote.
the remote does work and i also put a brand new battery in it too. a local shop had a machine that checks the remote. and it worked.
so what are my options? there is a nissan dealer close by but the nearest infinti dealer is at least an half hour away.
i read somewhere they can also use some kind of computer or something to program a remote. is that true?

I don't see why a Nissan dealer can't perform work on the remote.

I'm having this same issue. The dealership tested it and said it's sending a signal. Followed the instructions. I get the blink from the flashers, but the remote doesn't work after completing the instructions.
