So....what the heck should I do.

OK, pretty angry so...bare with me.

I have eBay projectors and HID's...they had to be ghetto rigged into my lights, the factor headlight harness was chopped and the lights are all wired up and connection is bridged cause the passenger side wouldnt turn on or something....my high beam wire had no room in the wiring so it just hangs there....therefore, when I try to put on high beams...all my lights blow out and I bust the fuse, usually if I do that i just swap the fuse. Now....

I worked on my Double Din today and I wanted to make it flush...ended up not being succesfull so I put everything back together...I guess I tapped the highbeam clicker, because when I finished none of my lights work....I changed the fuse, tried it....and now my relay box was buzzing....so idk what to do . I wanna sell my car but I have engine problems, bad gas mileage and a messed up light situation. I posted a new car in the "thinking about buying a 5.5 gen forum" but no response. I would like to convert my car to stock with my old bose system and old wheels. Then get hopefully 7K-8K for it, but its not looking to good right now so idk if I can afford another Maxima.

2000 GLE. 86K miles.

all cars have problems if improperly maintained.

True..i can return the stereo to stock, but how much do you think it would cost to convert my front end (lights) and stuff. I could throw h3's in but the wiring is still really bad.

my car is in ok condition, it does have cosmetic problems...see for yourself.

Who is "...they had to chop..." and why did they have to cut the H4 harness?

Do you have the original headlights?

And what kind of engine problems are you experiencing?

I see no reason for the harness to be cut into when installing HIDs. I would take out the HID kit and retrace all the stock wiring. If needed you can get a new H4 harness.

first of all, have some one with knowledge in electrical, fix you headlights, sounds like a safety issue especially if something shorts at night while driving at high speeds. also, what kind of engine "problems" are we talking about here? How the heck did you mess up a stereo install? did you get the gxe dash kit for it or you're trying to fabricate something yourself?

also, a 2000 se with 86k miles would probably go somewhere around 5k - 6k if selling privately unless you're going through a dealership. if you allready did the 5.5 gen conversion and got rid of the 5th gen front end parts then theres no point in swapping back, if it looks good, keep it that way, most people wouldn't even notice the difference.

p.s. i replied to your post. in the other thread.

thanks man, but im in FL. anyways. Well i bought eBay projectors and those are H3 Bulbs and my mechanic said he had to wire it in ...so he cut the harness off. so....I'll have someone look at all the wiring and hopefully convert it back to Halogen.

Engine Problems. I've posted before, when accelerating my car growls at me and I can feel it. I took my MPG last tank, I did 185 miles on a full tank, normal driving..maybe the occasional strong acceleration, but nothing bad. Thats like 11.5 MPG , i put 16 gallons in my car that tank. I've cleaned the MAF, changed all the O2 sensors.

(the car is a 2003 SE I'm looking at . 71K miles)

eBay projectors should have been plug and play, no re-wiring. Did you buy them used or brand new? And do you still have you original headlights?

The only other post I saw you had problems with was your transmission. Can you define "growling" at you. Sounds like your trans is slipping. If you can provide better details, we can all help you better.

Ok, thanks. Well, I changed the tranny fluid and it did help the shifting. I looked up CV problems on google and it pretty much fit the problems I'
ve been having, but I did my CV's not too long ago.

The growling is when I accelerate...get up to speed (45-55+) and it just starts humming, growling, that kind of thing. I can kinda feel it in the pedal. A guy at a mercury dealership described it as a "growl" (he also offered 3.5K for my car)....i walked out.

The HID kits are plug and play for the harness that is on your car...Our cars have 9003/H4. When I bought the eBay projectors...those bulbs are H3 so I bought an H3 HID kit. I don't have the factory lights anymore, they were in horrible condition.

Thanks for the details. I don't know about your engine problem, but I see the issue with your headlights. Look in the 5th gen classifieds for 00/01 headlights and you're gonna have to restore the H4 harness.

I've thought about that and quite a bit of people I talked to around my area say its not that kind of noise. They say because its actually very deep and very noticeable in the pedal.

Considering my relay box is buzzing...do you think I blew my headlight and foglight relay? Neither of them work. My parking lights work....I also recently did the fog rewire for daylight driving lights.

as for the engine problem...im going to get it checked out tomorrow or tuesday. A friend mentioned that I may have my catalytic converter may be clogged and thats a reason for horrible mileage

I think if you also take care of the basics, clean air filter, correct tire air pressure, and change motor oil on a regular basis. Hang in there dude!
