MAF cleaning on 02 maxima?

Is it safe to clean the maf on 02 maxima se What kind of MAF cleaner do i need? The car has 72k and i never cleaned the maf all i had it done is throttle body cleaning. Maf sensor for 02 cost triple more than 00-01 acording to that i dont wanna end up damaging it, thats why i need to know if anyone has ever cleaned the maf on 02 maxima and which spray cleaner to use? It could be a repost but i couldnt find an answer. Thanks.

i cleaned my maf on my 2000 max w/ CRC.. and it worked but then it kinda started going soon after.. so im a little terrified to touch the one on my 2k2 max.. i actually had my intake all apart yesterday and choose not to clean it even though i have some leftover spray.. so if u do it i would appreciate if you post back if u noticed anything or it it hurt anything ect ect.. g/l

lol .. nah im good with my TB being dirty lol...and to ocguy.. its a secreat lol... no i had an 00-01 one that was fabbed up to fit behind the battery but the powerband was all over i lost alot of low end and then from 4k-6k it would scream and pull good but i wasnt a fan of the non-linear band plus i like my tq.. so i have the uh..____ cant think of word idk part one of the stocki intake..first piece on to the TB and then MAF-adapter-cone filter...im gunna pick up a 3" pipe to put inbetween adapter and filter but yeah it pulls better then stock airbox/GAB/and fabbed custom... still looking to get my hands on a PR CAI though .. ok /rant
