So that's the difference eh ? lol i just thought they were all the same ... HID = HID whatever lol.

Obviously i'm still new to the whole light thing. I guess that's why i always hear of Acura retrofits, hmmm...sounds like it's time for some new searching.
check out www.hidplanet.com/forums to learn about hid and stuff...great site with tons of info. the tl projectors outperforms our reflector hids by a gazillion times lol

yeah.. that site does have alot of info... the only thing i dont like is that you have to sign up for a membership just to look at the forums.. if you don't feel like doing that, then theres a really good thread on this board about HIDs.. i think it's called: "everything you need to know about HIDs..." something like that

Yea i went to HIDplanet and tried to read up on some stuff there. HOLY CRAP there's like ... mega ultra HID knowledge there. Just the FAQ for the general questions had me like ? wow. I think i read a bunch of stuff twice to actually retain it lol. Yea so, as it seems, a retrofit will be in the works in the future. After i saw the pics of kits vs retrofits i'm sold. I will never ever buy or even suggest to someone to get a kit ... lol wow.

the only part i can understand is him asking how to tell the difference between D2R and D2S if it's not written on the bulb or box (which if that's the case, you probably shouldn't be getting those bulbs) but anyway.. D2R bulbs have what they call a glare shield painted on the bulb that looks like a dark colored taping almost... i don't think D2S bulbs have anything painted on them... D2R bulbs are designed for reflector housings, and D2S bulbs are designed for projector housings

and if your car is the one in the picture, then you have reflector headlights, not projectors... you would need a D2R replacement bulb

Umm no, OEM ballasts easily last the life of the car if not more. Colorshift will come, between 100-500 hours.

lol i think it took me a couple weeks of driving around before i noticed the difference. maybe it still looks yellow but if you compare it to new ones it should be more "white". give it a few months, you'll definitely see the difference haha
