auto passenger window problem

Just started happening on my 02 max with 38k miles. Clicking up to auto on the master control panel causes the window to roll up, and once it hits the top it rolls back down 1/4 of the way. To actually close the window I have to lightly tap or hold the master control switch up (so doesnt hit auto up). Any ideas?

My 03 just started doing the same on driver side. I would also like to know why and how to solve it.

weird...there's a thread on this from 2003 but there was no real solution given other than take it to the dealer.

Your window regulator needs to be replaced.

Mines done that all along, never thought it was a problem but rather a feature. Maybe for a smoker or something, lol?

I've had this problem on my i35 or a while, just kind of dealt with it.

Today, however, my car started acting ghey. I cann't roll down either of my front windows, (rears work fine?) or lock my doors.

My door locks don't work on either side up front (passenger or driver) and my windows won't roll down.

Is this a master window switch problem? I tried to get to the dealer but they were closed before I could. I'd like to know what the problem is so I don't have to pay the $90 diagnostic on top of whatever the problem is.

I had my oil changed today. Could that have anything to do with it?
