5.5 Gen MT heavy duty axle now available from Raxles

Not sure if anyone else already know but I just spoke to Marty at www.raxles.com and he announced that he now has heavier duty driver's side axles available for the 5.5 gen manuals. The are running for $219. They are still working on making an upgrade for the passenger side but that should be available soon. This is good news for those of us who have had CV joint woes like myself!

great news for the VQ35ers who need them even more than the VQ30ers. Marty makes top-notch products. Highly recommended.

btw, three of us from the org are on the Raxles website

Marty is a quality man. Raxles on both sides of my vehicle and its lasted years. Even swapped them from one max to another and still quality.

Good news. Any info on how the heavy duty axles differs from the regular model?

when i called in feb, he said he stopped making them because most of them were going on lowered cars and kept going bad. he was working to prevent that. dont know exactly what the weak point was

I hear nothing but great things about him there. I know there are a few out there that are anticipating a passenger redesign as well.

I need to replace both of mine though. I avoid driving my car now because the highway clunking at my feet has gotten so bad.

+1 Q, I cant drive my car either, the axle is done. I found a few junkyards around here that have 1, hit me up if you need a temporary replacement.

I'm getting to that point guys. The vibrations are getting worse. How much did you guys spend on an axle?
