Upgraded cooling fans???

I swapped my VQ20 for a VQ35 and kept my stock cooling system which is a single core Rad and stock cooling fans. Since i put in the VQ35 the underhood temp's have been really hot(not from reading the temp guage, but jus by openin the hood). Also the cooling fans stay on twice as long as did with the VQ20, and the thing is it affects the AC as the AC lines sit less than an inch from the manifold.

So i going 2 upgrade the cooling system starting with a 2core Rad, new thermostat, and probably a new coolant temp sensor. I want 2 know if there is an aftermarket(upgraded) fan setup available for the maxima???

Will also be removing the compressor and wrapping the lines 2 maintain the temp.

Any advice???

I think just upgrading the radiator will solve the problem. I pulled a 455 from a Delta 88 and put in my old Cutlass in place of the stock 350. Same problem, the car starting running warmer than normal. I replaced the 3 row radiator I had with the 4 row that was in the Delta 88 and coolant temperatures returned to normal.

with twice the displacement and more horsepower and less air space under the hood it's only logical that the temps will be warmer. What did you have the vq20 in and did you mean vq30? Thought maybe it was a typo until you did it again. Aftermarket radiator and cooling fans will most likely solve your problem.

Stock maxima fans are fine and pull plenty of air, get a koyo for a 3.5 or something like that.

Same car as the Infiniti I35 is what i had the VQ20 in. Comes from countries like singapore/japan/mexico.

Thanks for the advice guys. Guess the new Rad will do along with a new thermostat. We don't have winter here and temps are usually in the 30's C or 90's F
