Estimate to fix power seat? No longer reclining...

Originally, my seat would not move forward or back, but I did the "tap on the power seat motor" trick and it started working again.

Now my seat will not recline forward or back. I tried tapping on the reclining seat motor a LOT, and pretty hard, and it is no go.

Try a Junk yard or ebay. Personally, I would pull the seat motor and order one directly from the manufacturer and do it myself.

My driver side seat stop sliding back and forth. I ordered the improved slider motor and assembly and installed it in about 2 hours. The hardest part was not breaking any plastic trim tabs.

Does anyone know how much the reclining motor is via a dealer or DaveB? I have the same issue and I can replace it myself.

Ebay one, you'll find a whole seat for much less than a new motor. I had problems with my 4th gen seat motor and the seat "pan" thing that you sit on was broken as well, so I found two power seats on ebay for 80 buck, switched the motor, pan and leather. Much cheaper than buying new. Then you also have some extra parts laying around if and when something else breaks.

A used seat will likely have the same problems as his current seat, due to usage.

bump.....which motor controls the power seat function to raise and lower the front and rear part of the seat

mine still slides back and fourth and the recliner is working, but the up down function of the actual seat has stopped working...it all started with one side....

are there TWO motors, or THREE motors? i havent had the time to take a look under there, it just stopped this morning

thanks
