advice - shocks/springs/axle replacement

looking for general advice and tips on a suspension job needed. I do a lot of highway driving so want a not so rough ride and not looking to lower the car really...so

1. Recomendation on shock/spring combo front/rear (got axles already)
2. plan on doing myself, would like some tips on replacing all these parts
such as removal tips, install, etc.

thanks!

When you lower a car, there is no way the ride will be like "stock". The springs will have higher rate and the ride will be more firm. However, H&R doesn't lower as much as Eibach or Tein-S-Tech. The more you lower it, the less suspension travel left and the harsher the ride will be.

I've tried Eibach before the H&R and I don't like it when my upper jaw and lower jaw are fighting against each other on the freeway.

If you want to keep you stock ride, just replace the struts and call it a day. Tokico might be a good replacement but they will wear out faster than Koni. The metal that they used to contruct their piston is also not as hard as Koni. I'm telling you all these from my personal experience that I've had with Tokicos, both blue and Illumina, and the Koni that I've already sold. Toks are POS IMHO.

^^ to changing out just your shocks.

I am still on stock shocks but it seems like most everyone on here preaches about the tokico Illuminas.

I hope the axles you already purchased are from Raxles, because if they're not, it's just a waste of money.
