Annoying noise coming from the back...**soundclip included**

It started 2 weeks ago and its really bad now. Its a bad squeeky noise that occurs when Im driving and when the car is idle. Happens when I get in the car etc. I first thought one of the illuminas went out but the car drives the same, its not any more bouncy or harsh than it was before and I see no liquid or oil around the strut. Its absolutely driving me CRAZY and its embarrasing. Well heres a soundclip...chime in if you have any ideas

Oh and by the way, the insulators are in place on each of the coils of the springs. Also the car was idle in this clip and its impossible for me to record this sound when driving b/c my car is too loud but the noise is the same. I was just pushing the car up and down here...dont get any nasty ideas

Springs need to be lubed? wow that is an extremely annoying sound.

i have the same sound from the same side and my girls says thats what it is. i have checked everything under there and cant figure it out

ive checked mounts, RSB bushings, etc. anything that would move when the suspension compresses and cant figure out where its coming from. i dont even notice anymore

its hard not to notice it anymore...its so much more worse when the car is moving. You know what the funny thing is? 2 weeks ago I had a nail in my rear passenger tire so I took it to my local service station to get a patch. Apparently the nail was a tiny one and didnt go thru the tire...he just pulled it out and it was fine. But when he bolted the wheel back on thats when I noticed the noise..he didnt touch anything else

Whoa. That's a funny noise.
I have a noise in my rear passenger side too. It's more of a rattling noise. Sounds like it's in the strut area. Maybe a loose bolt or something.

and the noise came back...again

This leads me to believe it has something to do with the weather...this morning it was silent and as it got colder at night I started hearing it more

sounds like someting is hitting the rubber, maybe the door? or trunk lid?

I didnt forget to check the mounts...I just dont have my jack right now (yes even the one in the trunk). I'll see if I can use someone else's. thanks for the diagram

You need to look at it from the trunk to see if the piston is moving.

hmmm . . . I just did my struts and springs yesterday. And I have a similar squeeking sound today. Didn't change the mounts.

Everything's coming out of the trunk tomorrow to ensure that I get a flat.

I presume you checked the strut mount and it is tight. right?
