Chrome-dome bulbs for cleared turn signal lenses are in. (chrome dome)
Bought and installed 'Chrome-Dome' lenses from http://www.autolumination.com/ . I didn't think they sold the full chrome ones anymore but apparently they do, man their web site sucks.
Overall I have mixed feelings, I saw in other threads that there where complaints that the full chrome bulbs where not bright enough to see during the day. The Chrome Dome look fine to me as far as light output but I did not have a set of full chrome bulbs to compare them to. I originally had regular orange bulbs in there and from some angles the whole lens looked orange. The chrome dome bulbs are not perfect, you still see orange behind the lens although it varies depending on the angle you are looking at them from but it never looks like the lens itself is orange. It is hard too show in pictures but I will give it a shot, top pic is plain orange bulbs (the turn signal is not on), bottom pic is 'chrome dome' bulbs.

It can be made from a HD trailer light. I haven't heard of anyone selling a 5.5 Maxima-specific clear turn signal lens.

You can use any plastic lens that's big enough. You just use the old one to trace a circle on it and cut it out. Obviously you want to match the other lens next to it as close as you can. The ones I used where made for low voltage landscape lighting. Someone posted the exact part number on here a while ago but any plastic lense will work.

Malibu is the maker of the lens. Amazon is your best bet, I know they sold them at Home Depot in the states, but they may have discontinued them.
I have the bag at home I'll try to remember to post the PN if no one beats me to it.
