P0720-Speed Sensor???

I got the SES light on my 2000 Maxi and the code is P0720.

Has anyone had this before or know wherethis sensor is located? i would like to check if somehow the connections are loose.

Anything else that anyone might advise me to check?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link.

just like in that other thread, it was not clear that this is definately the problem. Does anyone know if replacing the sensor will definately resolve the problem or has someone had actual experience to know it could be something else?

is there a better picture to find the sensor? i'm not sure i understand which cover it is located under. can it be reached from under the hood?

thanks.

Is there a part number for the sensor? I'd like to know as well, my car is exhibiting the same symptoms in the summer heat.

thanks,

i don't know the part number but it is called the speed sensor or revolution sensor. i'm sure any dealer could tell you the part number.

Well, as suddenly as the SES light came on, it has now gone off. I never even got a chance to look at the sensor or any wires associated with it so there wasn't anything i did to make it go off.

Go figure. I wonder if it will come on again?
