GM Top engine cleaner

Just curious if any of you 3.5 guys have tried this for to fix your oil consumption issue?

It's basically a solvent you pour into your spark plug holes, clean out the carbon/other gunk, then pour in more top engine cleaner and let it sit over night.... When cranking the engine after letting it sit I've seen huge chunks of carbon come out... Since the stuff sits in your combustion chamber, I'm sure some of it works itself past the oil ring and cleans that crap out too...

I've seen alot of oil burning engines become cured from this process, if only for a few months, it still seems to work really well.. The important part is to change the oil after your done before driving 200 miles.

oil consumption is caused by bad rings....not carbon or gunk

We use it all the time on engines that have excessive blow-by. If the oil ring is just gunked up from small deposits and not able to scrap the oil from the cylinder walls the oil cleaner will help clear up those passages....Maybe the cylinders just to glazed over and that's the problem. I don't know just figured if no one had tried it that it was worth a shot.....Cheap fix.
