My mom was backing out of the garage today and she backed into my car. Here are some pics.










The headlight suprisingly didnt break but it got pushed several inches in and that really bent the plastic piece that holds the headlight in place. That plastic piece is part of the light and doesnt look like it could be replaced. Also I would think the hood could be popped out and straightened but the area where the hood crumpled is reinforced in the back.. just look on your own car and you'll see what I meen. I would think the bumper can just be repainted but the black spot under the headlight appeared there after the accident and the plastic there is bubbled out like a little nipple....which is just plain wierd.

Anyway what do you guys think this will run me

Ouch...I am always afraid that my mom will forget to look and back right into me, as she backed into a rental car in our driveway once. I think that you would need a pretty good body shop to bang out the dent in the hood, you will prob need to get a new headlight bracket/mount, and the bumper can prob be sanded and painted. I take it that you are not running it through insurance?

Anyways, sorry to hear about this...after all it is probably one of my worst fears of parking my car in the driveway.

haha this is my first post... but i have had the same incident! my grandmother bought a new GX470 and 3 days later she backed into me, got the back passanger door, bumber and fender. then about two weeks later she backed into my car again! but it was only the bumber - fortunately she didnt get the taillight! crazy thing is i just took off her trailer hitch! no big deal - she paid for it to get fixed, took 4 days to complete but i got to cruise in a lexus! glad to have my car back
