Tranny shifts slow?

When I'm at WOT, it seems like the tranny is shifting slow. It almost seems like it takes between 2-3 seconds to shift from 1st to 2nd. The shift to 3rd is just as long. I know that a VB mod would take care of that, but the car is still covered under the extended warranty. Do you think I have anything to worry about, or should I go ahead with doing the VB? The thing is, if this is a symptom of something that will need to be fixed, I dont want them to see something modified in there, then they blame me for the problem and I have to pay for it.

This is a pretty common problem for the 5th gen automatic cars. I went through this same issue about 2 years ago and they ended up replacing a solenoid in the tranny, doing a flush, and changing the filter. I haven't experienced the slipping issues since. I would definitely have it taken care of while it's under warranty.
