brakes dragging

Searched and now asking,
Replaced the pads on my 01 with hawk hps pads. turned front rotors and replaced the rear. backed off caliper pistons completely. assembled everything correctly. bled system 3 times for good measure. pulled out of the garage and the brakes are dragging, not enough to slow me down, but enough to make a lot of noise, even after "bedding" them in. are the pads thicker than OEM? should I try to burn some pad off, (afraid of overheating and warping rotors)???

I had the same problem. I let my rear pads get really low. This caused the left rear caliper to become "stuck" so after the new pads were installed and the car was still in the air on the jack there was a pretty good amount of resistance when I tried to turn the wheel by hand, compared to the other side which spun freely.

After driving the car for a bit I tapped (pretty hard) on the caliper with my breaker bar a few times to "unstick" anything. It seemed to have helped.

If this dosent work than you most likely have a bad caliper which isnt retracting when you let off the breaks.
