I'm not picky on what version, I just really need that disc. I moved to Atlanta last week and it would be very helpfull to have the maps for that area.
Once you have ISO file of the CD, zip it to reduce the size by right-clicking on the file and choosing Send To --> Compressed (Zipped) Folder.
Now go to http://www.megaupload.com select a zip file you just created, put in a file description and you email address (you'll be emailed a link) and click on send.
Once upload is complete you'll get a link at the top and also in your email that you can share with people.
This was such a simple process everyone with a navi disc should do the upload so your fellow .orger can have the copies that they want. take 20minutes out of your day and follow the directions on uploading and post it here. I would still like to have MCA 9v5.5.
Sweet! Thanks for the file! I'll post links on here later tonight for my MCA6 version 5.5 and my MCA5 version 5.3
So you had a copy of a nav disk to share all this time, but wouldnt until someone uploaded what you need?
You were the one posting and asking for people to upload what they had, which I thought was a good idea, however you refused to do the same until someone posted what you need?
This I wont scratch your back until you scratch mine is exactly why this Nav disk swapping attempt has not gone smoother.

Oh well, I'll just go get robbed at a dealership and forget about this thread and this forum...
I have a 2001 QX4. I have a message on my navigation system that says "insert program disc" The only disc I have is already inserted. I have a v.5.0 MCA1. I don't know if the program disc is different than the navigation disc, but I'd really like to solve this issue as I have no control over the a/c, heat, defrost now. Are the bits still online for download? Has anyone else had this problem?

i need your disk! that or the program disk is the one I am looking for.
The program disk is different than the Nav disk. Not sure why you have issues with the AC controls, my controls still work even without a disk in there.
I assume it's the program disc I need then as I'm having trouble controlling the climate in the car. Does anyone have a backup of a program disc I can borrow, or bits for me to download?

Kingjames, Man 4 months ago you hit me when i posted that had every single Nav Disk for our car. All 5.5 versions buy the way. And here we are in April and you still haven't found MCA 9. Brother i got all for you, i REALLY BUSTED MY *** to get these now im asking 20 bucks a copy. iF YOU NEED hit me up. This offer stands for any one eles in the 5th gen scetion..
Its nice to see that someone has every disc, however, we've been sharing CDs for a long time - key word there is "share." No one has made a cent off of navigation CDs in this "CD swap" thread. If you'd like to make some money from your discs, post in the classifieds and if anyone is willing to pay for them, they'll see them there.
James - I'm sending my new MCA 9 disc to Megaupload as we speak. I'll post a link here for ya. (I'm not sure if its a 5.5 or not, but it sure does seem to have every road and fast food place and whatnot - Maybe you can look up the version by the numbers I found in the nav system - it said I installed version SD3US028, and that the version number was 000528-1288. I looked on the Zenrin site and googled the numbers, but I couldn't find anything.)

at raj81kumar@yahoo.com thanks very much.
^^ HERE IS THE DISC FOR FREE JUST DOWNLOAD IT AND BURN IT. why pay for a old disc??
I could download it but don't know what software to use to open the file. Also I don't have a burner to burn. What do you do after you download the file (process).Iam desperate and if you could help me I would really appreciate it. I could buy the backup from you. please contact me at raj81kumar@yahoo.com
If you search this thread, back a couple pages (staying within the last 6 months) you'll find info about how to burn CDs in .ISO format (ISO is a CD image).
I wrote the post, but I don't have time to search for it (@ work now) but if you look, I bet you'll find it.
thanks everybody for you help. The only problem is I don't have a burner thats the only reason I was going to buy it from someone. If someone has a backup to send me then i'll buy it from themt but if not I'll try to find a way to get this done.
