Reason I'm asking is the following...

will this fit and has anyone tried this?

For a few bucks I'm thinking this sounds like a nice theory...

I would check at advance auto parts first. They sell these there and I believe they are much cheaper too. That is the correct size though 12m x 1.25 thread. Good luck.
