might buy a 2000 maxima SE, 5spd.....

my friend is selling his car, its pretty nice. 2000 maxima SE 5spd, no sunroof, no leather, but he only wants me to pay off his loan so he can take out another one for a new car. he owes about $6300 so that what i would be paying. the car has 103k miles on it, and he had the transmission rebuilt tast year. runs good, and only has a few dents in the driverside door. what do you think? are these cars worth buying?

for 4300 yea id buy that car unless there was something majorly wrong with it. other than that, 4300 is a steal i think if its a clean title.

that's a good deal given that the car was kept in good running condition and not involved in any major accidents.

I guess your friend doesn't realize he could probably trade that car in to a dealership for more than he owes and use that equity toward the purchase of his new car??? Leads me to believe something major is wrong with the car.

ive known him since he's bought the car, and he really beat on it. never in an accident other than something hitting the driver side door. he's been through 3 clutchs and had the tranny rebuilt last year. heres a bad pic:

well the clutches were done so often because he took it to a guy who did a ****ty job and kept ripping him off.

i already own the bike. that pic was of my friend's RX7. the maxima jsut happened to be in the background with my bike, so i cut it out and posted it.

I would say It is a good deal. I bought my 00 se 5spd, no leather or sunroof for $6,400 at 130xxx miles. The gearbox was leaking at the axles so the dealer rebuilt it for free. It has a few spots where the paint is starting to come off in layers. Other than that, I love it

Car looks good. Just needs some TLC to get rid of dents & whatnot. Even with over 100K miles, you should get a long life out of the car.

00 se

I just found a 00 se for sale. This car is in very good condition with no scrapes or dings. 77,000 miles, leather, 5spd, heated seats, and comes with 3 yr warranty. They were asking $9,900 but we have him at $8,000 now. Ive been looking for a maxima and I think this is the perfect opportunity.

Tell me what you think!
