HOW-TO: Super-Easy AE Pedal Install

First, take a razor and trim the backside of the pedal off. This will leave you with a very flat surface.

Next, apply a layer of silicone adhesive to the backside of the pedal.

Then clamp it.

You're done! Take all of 10 minutes to install this way. It's permanent, but I don't have any intentions of ever taking these off.

That's funny I didn't have to glue mine to the pedal.

Bump after over 5 years, lolol. (at least I searched!)

If I want to retrofit AE automatic transmission pedals in my 5.5gen autotragic, is it the same process, just hack off the original pads and then stick on the new ones even for the gas pedal?

Gas pedal is a full replacement unit. Brake pedal is sleeve style - no cutting or hacking necessary.

That's incorrect. You can purchase the aluminum gas pedal-pad all by itself, and make it fit by cannibalizing pieces of your original pedal.

Besides, Will started a new thread the same evening after posting this, where he got his answers:

I figured it out. AE is anniversary edition and that's where the woodgrain vents come from.
