Engine covers?

I noticed on a few pics that some people have an engine cover in different colours on their Max's. Where can you get these, and how much?

You can order a 2001 AE Engine cover and some have them custom painted to either match the body color or a personal color they like.

2002-2003 came with engine covers, 2000-2001(non AE) are abused stepchildren...

I dont think they sell them that way. I say go to pepboys and choose a cool color like red (type R) and start painting away. But on the real I think others do it on there own.

DAMMIT, I knew this would happen. I am painting my a glossy black with the "V6 3.5" in red. If I didn't mess it up and need to paint it over, I would have already made a thread asking for pictures. Oh well, when I get it finally done, pics will be done. I have to "devil" up my engine bad.

Ya, it cost about 6-7 bucks for the dremel attachments. About 7 bucks for paint, 3 bucks for the mesh, 5 bucks for the epoxy, 6 bucks for sandpaper, and 24 bucks for a new emblem, plus 3 weeks total of my time with a little work here and there.

3.5 Carbon Fiber Engine Cover.
I know it won't help you, but maybe upgrade to 5.5 Gen.

That's great! Ya, I haven't found anywhere that keeps them stock. By the looks of your pic, you could use a new one. Mine looked exactly like that.
