Headlight Removal Help

I want to clear out my headlight indicator, so I need to remove my headlights. I have datadots though, so I need some instructions on their removal. I know how sensitive this info is and these are my headlights on my 2k2, so if someone could please PM me this info, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Because of the sensitivity of the Data Dots issue and HID thefts I don't think anyone will respond. I am not saying your headlights are stolen I am providing a reason for why you have not received any responses to this thread. I do suggest however that you search the 5th gen forums. There is someone who (I forgot who) will provide directions for removing the data dots only if you pm them personally.

I hope this helps.

whats a datadot? if the headlight is the same as my 01 maxima you just remove the two 10 mm bolts from the top and yank the light straight forward. or are you past this point?

No 5.5 gen lights were/are targeted for theft at a high rate. Due to a class action lawsuit, Nissan agreed to install higher security measures to prevent theft of the HID lights that were factory installed from 2002-2003. This included beefed up brackets and additional screws. It is not as straightforward as one might think, hence the point of the upgrade...
