I got a Red top, some says Yellow top. Both are excellent batteries and I would say that it is not extremely important which you choose because they are both very good.

if you have a huge system and running alot of extras in your car then get the deep cycle yellow top... if not save some cash and go with the redtop... i have a redtop and it works great for me

Well i finally picked up my Optima ( RED ) top model 73/32-OR $ 119.99 w/ core exchange at my local Autozone. Installation is straight forward, i just stretch the ( + positive ) cable a bit but it was not a big deal

what is a good price for this yellow top batery tha you have. Also, did you have to modify any of the battery cables to get tem to fit?

i got it on ebay for $138 shipped. great deal. it's 3 years old.
modify, yes somewhat. the red piece on top is a direct 90degrees. as you can see, i had to bend mine roughly 30 degrees, so the red piece on top did not fit. i had to cut off part of it so that it would close snug.

also, it went into the sideposts, which you have to purchase seperately. do NOT, i repeat, do NOT buy GM Side terminal mounts, as those are for GM vehicles, which you can see from the ground one (just for asthetics) is hexagon shaped. you need to buy regular side posts. you can buy it at any autoparts store for like $5 or any interstate dealer, as interstate is the parent owner of optima.

other than that, it's a tight fit, but it fits.
