Parking light bulbs to match HIDs?

I would like to buy some new parking light bulbs to match my HIDs. Anyone install LEDs into their housing? If so where did you buy, blue or white leds, 4-5 or more LEDS?

I've bought quite a few LED bulbs from them.

The White LEDs don't really match that well. Your best bet is the cheap Polarg M4 (i think) bulb.

The Polarg match is O-K. Not too hot, imo. The ribbing of the lense screws up the light.

I have the piaa led bulbs in my corner and parking lights. THey look a lot better than the ricey blue ones I had in there. They look so white and nice, definitely glad I purchased them. A little pricey, about $20 for a pair online, but definitely worth it.

took the words outta my mouth. Piaa LED's for sure. If MACALERT chimes, he'll agree as well as he saw them when i did his h3 backup mod and he was extremely impressed at how they matched.

surely. i took an h3 bulb (fog) and pulled apart the metal. i then took the reverse socket, made it wider by breaking the taps, bent the contacts on the H3 bulb, and pressed in with all my might. it's slightly bigger, but that makes it such a better fit as it wont' get loose cause it's wedged in. the difference is 12w vs. 55 baby!!! seriously, big difference, especially for those with tints.

Be wary of the LED bulbs from Superlumination.com. They look good and all but mine kept falling out of the socket so I gave up and put back in the PIAA's.

Indeed the PIAA leds are a close match to OEM HIDs. Now I just need to open my wallet and buy a bunch.

Just stay away from PIAA SP's. They don't match for crap in the parking lights...

polarg has a new line of bulbs out now, where the end of lense is a magnifine glass, and its suppose to make the light output look like its 3x brighter or something. i havnt tried it, but ive never been let down by polarg before. there a great match fo the HID

here they are in my headlights

I wasn't too upset with the PIAA Super Plasma's...As close as I thought I would get...but maybe I need to look into their LED's, or maybe the Polarg's...

Mine are way too green-blue to match anything. Who knows, I may have a bad batch or something..

Are the 194 referring to parking lights or side markers?

Front markers are 194 and parking is 168. Should be interchangable. I believe 168 is 4.9w while 194 are only 3.8w....

I purchased the bulbs below off of eBay as parking lights for my 2000 I30. They are ever-so-slightly bluer than my HIDs, however I think the overall look is good. For $5.00, you can't go wrong.

These are the ones I got for the clearence and corners. I ordered them from this place and it took a long time compared to the first time I ordered them, so I wouldn't recommend them. I couldn't even get into contact with anyone either, so that was a bit frustrating.

Wanted to chime in with my 2 cents. Have the autolumination LEDS in my map lights, dome lights and parking lights (ones above the amber lense in the headlight). The map and parking lights are the matrix bulbs. 4 aiming to the sides and one bigger one aiming stright. These lights are BRIGHT. The map lights give off this nice blueish white light that are bright and make things easier to read over the originals. The LEDS in the parking lights are sick. These give a almost pure white light that makes the HIDS now look like they need upgrading but overall such a better look than the original parking bulbs. The Dome is the 9 led cluster that is nice and bright also. can go to www.autolumination.com and had emailed Chris before buying. Very quick replies and helpful. My next upgrade is to get the LEDS for the lightsin the doors. Question for anyone here. i have the stock bulbs in the fogs but want something that is close or exact to the HIDS. any suggestions?

Another HID kit, no bulb comes close enough to matching.

Also, what LED did you use for the map light?

I have the polarg M4 hyper whites and I am not satisfied. It's a dull greenish/blue look.

Thanks for all the responses but now I'm really confused. Looks like everyone has a different opinion. The polargs look good in the picture on the first page but some people are not happy with them. Anybody have pics of LEDs installed.

OK summary is that Polar/Piaa bulbs are just blue tinted bulbs which filters out the yellow and makes the light look white. Thse bulbs shine at a color close to the factory 4,300K HID range, whereas white LEDs come with a blue/tint hue to it like below, so it looks bluer than the factory HIDs, but match 6-8,000K HIDs perfectly.

i used the matrix bulb. Bayonet style Ba9s. http://autolumination.com/otherleds.htm
There is a polarity for the LEDs. I had to take out the roof console that holds the sunglasses and map lights. There are 2 connectors. One for the sunroof and a 2 wire connector for the lights that is a white connector with a black and gray wire. I first put the LEDs in and the didnt work but the polarity was off. so i took the gray and black wires and switched them . Worked fine after that and now a nice white blue light. The dome light is a 9 LED that is a little more purple bt still nice. I used the matrix 194 bulbs for the parking lights above the amber and tghey are f#@#$ sweet. bright as heck.

Oh OK, I too tried the Ba9s bulbs and they didn't light up, and I didn't want to mod anything for them to work. Thanks for the help!
