How to Remove Cup Holder in the back seat?

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE. I want to clean my cup holder in the back but was wondering if someone know any easy way to remove the cup holder. It would be much easier for me to clean it when it is removed. The cup holder is dirty dirty dirty!!!!!

Any ideas???

I just tried to remove mine .. but it looks like you can't remove them without breaking them off.

It can only be removed by taking the entire middle console unit out.
