I'm not sure if this is normal but my car is leaking water non stop for the past 10 minutes (~1.5 cup of water) after being turned on for 15 minutes. Is something busted?

I have a little bit of water dripping from mine too after using it for a while. I think it's just condensation from the a/c, but don't quote me on that. A cup and a half seems a little excessive.

true about the condensation...i'm not sure if it's supposed to leak QUITE that much, but have you ever looked at all the cars on the road like when you're at a stoplight on a hot day? the water is non-stop dripping out of them..i'm sure it would eventually amount to what your car is putting out...

I notice that mine leaks a pretty good amount after shut off. I don't think its a problem - just alot of condensation.

I think it depends on the humidity. I have a little cooler for my room and some days it will just dump water out after its turned off and others very little.

Probably depends on the humidity and maybe the way you parked after you finished driving. The water from the evaparator(under the dasy) drips into a tray and there is a hose usually connected in the front. If you were parking nose down then I'm sure you got all the water out of the tray.

humidity, recirc, fan speed and a few other things will affect how much water condenses on your evap, and drips to the ground.

I know mine drips a ton when it is really humid. Left a big puddle in my garage the other night

in any case, it is a good thing. that means: your drain plug is freely open so it won't be backing up any time soon and that your a/c is getting nice and cold. lots of water = cold a/c... usually.

I would think its just condensation too because look at the extreme change in temperature. So more water is ok
