Replacing O2 sensors HELP please

Here is the deal. I know that my rear Oxygen sensor is dead. So I jacked up the car got under it but can not find it where I expected it to be, on the cat. I have also located three other sensors which look very much like Oxygen sensors on my y-pipe closer to the manifold. I would really appreciate if you guys can explain me where I can find that REAR O2 sensor. The model is 2k SE California spec. max.

Thanks

Heated O2 sensor might be problem. You will see it when you look at the engine bay behind the radiator fans. I believe its a blue wire. But It could be any of these problem areas as well : MAP sensor output / Injector / Fuel pressure / Intake air leaks /

I recently got a P0153 code - Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2 Sensor 1) on my maxima 2K. Can any of you tell me the corresponding part number for this particular sensor. I'm trying to get the part from partsamerica.com so that I can pick it up locally, but I can't figure out which particular part to buy at. the listing is at: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...Sensor&ptset=C

Would certainly help me if someone could tell me the bosch part I need to buy.

Go through the stickies on the main forum page, it will tell you what sensor the code corresponds to and then you can easily find the part number for it...

Already tried that but couldn't find anything concrete. Would certainly appreciate if anyone could simply provide me with the part number.

P0153 = sensor 1, bank 2

Call a dealer, parts dept, and ask what p/n it corresponds to... That's what I did :-)

Not tryiny to steal the thread, but since I am new doesn't let me post new threads. Is there any reccomendation to change O2 sensors in certain milage or you just have to wait until you get the codes? Thanks

Thanks guys, it turned out that both rear sensors where dead and the reason to that was bad injectors. It feels like I bought a new car after cleaning my injectors and replacing the sensors.

Ask the mechanic for the exact code, then come back here and look up what sensor that would be... If you read through the FAQ, and stickies it will tell you where to find codes and troubleshooting tips...

I think the factory has a recall for the O2 sensors if they are triggering your check engine light. I got mine done for free after getting it done time after time at a repair shop and having the check engine light come back on every time.
