Sticky? Fog Light/Headlight Comparison Thread

Show your different fog light and headlight colors. Be SPECIFIC as to what bulb it is, and/or any modifications you've made to change the beam pattern, etc (ebay projectors, MDX refits, lexus capsules, Lamin-x, etc)

IN THE INTEREST OF KEEPING THIS THREAD "CLEAN" PLEASE DO NOT POST COMMENTS, OPINIONS, OR QUESTIONS, OR YOUR SIGNATURE PIC. LET'S KEEP IT EASY TO READ AND POST ONLY PICS AND INFORMATION, NO OTHER CRAP.

let's focus on the lighting, not "other" appearance mods to your lights like blacking out the housing or angel eyes!
THANKS!

EDIT: Also keep in mind that since everyone is using different camera settings, these pics are not "scientifically accurate" to any degree, they're just to give a "basic" idea of color, beam pattern, etc.

Here are my "5000k" fogs...sorry for the pic, taken with cell phone.

I've had great experience buying MTEC brand bulbs off eBay. MTEC = Maruta Technology from Japan, but I then found this for $8.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JAPAN...90218088QQrdZ1

Which exclaims they are also made by Maruta. Although I doubt their "authenticity", for $8 I think the bulbs are alright!

The bulbs in real life is a tad off from the whiteness of the HID. I say the difference is like the difference between a white t-shirt and a milk white one.

the fogs in that pic were cheap ebay (eurodezignes I think) that were garbage, they lasted less than a month. I put a stock bulb back in till I decide what to do next...

I know we are not suppose to comment in this thread, but is it just me or do all the Piaas look yellow? Just as yellow than cheaper brands or even more?

No, put them next to each other (in person) and you can deff. tell the difference. no they dont look "just" like true HID's, however, they are much cheaper and come close.

Here are pics of stock HIDs with PIAA Xtreme White fogs and clearance. The fogs match pretty well (at street level they're close, not quite as blue/white). The Xtreme clearance lights are new, and really good - at headlight level they're white and bright, and at an angle they're white but spread other colors across the reflector. Sort of like a white opal (the stone, not the car or the paint).

Sorry for the glare. I dont have access to my camera, so I used my dad's which I dont really know how to use.

Anyway, these are 6000k Philips Ultinon HID's and stock fogs with HIDTech capsules.

If this is stickied I will post better pics once I get back to Denver (a couple weeks)

:EDIT: Saw this thread and updated the pics. Same set-up

that's my car. Yellow capsules with PIAA XTREME white bulbs. Looks the same as HALOGEN...except when you FIRST turn it on...it's a bright/almost greenish/neon yellow....then it warms up and looks like ANY other capsule fog light.

Had a ? ... does removing the shield in the fogs make any difference in the way the beam is spread out onto the road or does it just make it brighter? Cant find the thread.

Stock vs PIAA GT-X (old pic)

Actually it's a bit less worse than that but I'm still disappointed with my GT-Xs..

I'm thinking about Xtreme white, looks like a good match with the HID
